Inspired by the Roman concept “Genius loci”, which refers to the "spirit of the place", the collection of the same name, highlights local artisanal traditions in connection with the industrial process. “Our institutional campaign gave rise to this collection and had three main pillars. The first of these is the question of the spirit of the place and the craft of work. Place where virtuous hands shaped so much highly personalized, authentic furniture, full of identity. The second pillar was the importance we give to receptivity, hospitality... something that has always been present in our DNA. And finally, faith. The one that moves us, fills us with purposes and paths”, explains the brand’s business director, Diego Machado.

Under the concept of Territorial Design, the connection between the craftsman and the industry was based on ethical practices and the appreciation of this ancestral technique, maintaining its roots in evolution to new times.

Wheat straw, a fundamental raw material in the region, was chosen as the cornerstone of this axis. Used by Italian immigrants to make accessories for farming, the straw weave called Dressa is passed down from generation to generation, mainly by women, who make it manually in their homes, in the interior of Serra Gaúcha.

“Ancestral knowledge creates a relationship between the territory and cultural safeguards, in addition to bringing unique characteristics to products. From the union between industrial expertise and manual craftsmanship comes the Espírito do Lugar line”, explains designers Nicole Tomazi and Sérgio Cabral.

The result of Dressa's braiding skills and knowledge and work with wood, Evviva today rescues this history and trajectory by launching six models of cabinets, buffets and drawers, in the following color patterns: Lead, Notte, Silica, Pecan, Terracotta and Blush. A collection that makes each piece unique, with its number, details of origin, location and signature of the artisan.

With a contemporary design, the furniture has the Dressa application embedded in the doors and drawers. With metal legs, the furniture has a slim design and a satin copper finish. “The protagonism of the pieces really lies with Dressa. A manual detail, unique and full of meaning”, explains the brand’s business director, Diego Machado.

Available in 32 showrooms in Brazil and abroad, present in Paraguay and Portugal, the new collection comes with complementary furniture as an alternative composition to the brand's custom portfolio.
